I don’t know about you, but this week has been a long one! I have plans for some quality rest time this weekend.
It’s Friday and you all know the drill. If you are the first person to correctly guess the book that ends with the above “last words,” I will mail you a signed copy of the novel, A Moment in the Sun! Please submit your guesses in the comments.
Contest rules: Previous winners may not win the prize again. The prize applies to residents of the U.S.A. only.
This is the last copy of the novel that I have to give away! So guess quickly and guess wisely.
This weekend I will be taking a motorcycle class and I couldn’t be more excited/nervous. I told you all I was busy this month!
Friday means it is time for famous last words. If you are the first person to correctly guess the book that ends with the above “last words,” I will mail you a signed copy of the novel, A Moment in the Sun! Please submit your guesses in the comments.

Happy Friday! Can you smell the weekend yet? I can! It smells like freshly-baked bread and freshly-laundered sheets.
Can you guess the novel these famous last words belong to? Leave your guesses in the comments! This week I’ve got a brand new copy of A Moment in the Sun by John Sayles for the first correct guess.

I’m still not dead folks, just plum tuckered out. (That’s how we say tired in the south.) I thought I was going to get a chance to rest this summer, instead I’ve been running around the state and country! But I’m trying to remind myself to be thankful.
I talked with my boss, so I can share the big secret now– I have a potential job opportunity! I went in for an interview last Monday. It’s a dream job in a larger city and closer to my family. I won’t find out the outcome for at least a few weeks, but I’m staying hopeful.
During my absence, I’ve come across so much web goodness– especially in the library field! And sometimes we all need a little Friday link love on a Monday, am I right?!
Today I’m keeping it short and sweet. I’ll be in professional development at work all day. Ugh. And quite frankly, I’m exhausted. I’ve had very little time to do any internet souring this week. But I did stumble on the best flowchart I’ve seen in a long time via Teach.com.
This weekend I’m traveling to the mountains to get wedding mess ironed out. I sound excited, right? I love traveling, but I’ve been doing a little too much of it lately. I need a long, homey rest.
9. These awkward, old school dance photos are far too real for me. I might have to dig out some of my dance photos when I’m home this weekend. So embarrassing.
As you read this I’ll be on my way to our state capital for a potential opportunity. I’m terribly nervous already and by the time I arrive, I’ll probably be sweating profusely. I’ll be rehearsing in the car and I’ll definitely appear maniacal to my fellow drivers. This is how it always goes. I worry too much. Everything will be fine. It’s just an amazing opportunity and I really want to do well.
Here’s some things that have been distracting me this week:
This lovely veil is by Twigs and Honey on Etsy. I’ve been trying to decide if I’m a veil girl or if I should go with just a hair piece for the wedding. Thoughts?
4. I know it is another coffee-related recipe, but damn, I love the stuff! Cappuccino Pops!
I’m a little late on the Friday Love because I had to go out of town for a doctor’s appointment. Doctor’s appointments are always quite the tragedy for me. I have a terrible fear of needles and I had to get stuck twice this time. Apparently when you are so nervous that you are sweating and crying, your blood doesn’t want to evacuate you body…
It’s embarassing, but good to share our fears, don’t you think? Anyway, these links are making me feel loads better.
I’m thinking about buying a pair of Saltwaters for the beach because I despise flip-flops. Are Saltwaters too cliche? It seems like I see them everywhere, but they’re some of the only sandals I’ve seen that I don’t hate. The gold is kinda pretty, right?
1.
I’m so excited about this movie! I hope it lives up to my expectations, it looks AH-MAZING!
Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Do ya’ll have any plans?
Today I’m on my way to Philadelphia for the Ride to Skate event. I’m relieved to be taking a mini-vacation with George. We’re trying to make wedding planning as stress-free as possible, but it is difficult to juggle both planning, full-time jobs, side-projects and house work!
I’ve never been to Philadelphia before and I’m excited to do a few touristy things– like visit the Liberty Bell.
“Since dedicating myself to getting into “superhero shape,” several articles regarding my weight have been brought to my attention. Claims have been made that I’ve been on a strict workout routine regulated by co-stars, whipped into shape by trainers I’ve never met, eating sprouted grains I can’t pronounce and ultimately losing 14 pounds off my 5’3″ frame. Losing 14 pounds out of necessity in order to live a healthier life is a huge victory. I’m a petite person to begin with, so the idea of my losing this amount of weight is utter lunacy. If I were to lose 14 pounds, I’d have to part with both arms. And a foot. I’m frustrated with the irresponsibility of tabloid media who sell the public ideas about what we should look like and how we should get there.”
Being Happy is Productive. I love this so much! I’m not sure if I have the original source linked or not. Damn, tumblr. If someone knows who the illustrated this, let me know.
